Published · Updated
Employees who contributed to the company health plan and were dismissed without cause can keep it for 1/3 of the contribution time, 6 to 24 months, paying the full cost.

An employee dismissed without cause who paid part of the company health plan premium may keep it, with the same coverage, for 1/3 of the time they contributed, with a minimum of 6 and maximum of 24 months, paying the full cost (Law 9,656/1998, art. 30). A retiree who contributed for 10 years or more may keep the plan indefinitely (art. 31).

- A plan paid entirely by the employer, without employee contributions.
- Contributions only through co-payments or deductibles.
